Robert - let us know if the new phone resolves the issue. Sounds like there are quite a few out there having the same problem.

Nope.... I was planning on doing an FDR last night, but.......
I decided to let Verizon come up with the solution....and.... This time they did not tell me to try an FDR? After I explained everything the phone was doing they just offered to send me a new phone.
This is the bottom line. When my Maxx HD was on 4.1.1 the phone ran flawlessly I didn't have any problems at all, everything just worked great and I loved it!!! After the update to 4.1.2 it started having problems, the phone never worked right after that, major lag problems and freeze ups that FDR's don't & won't fix.... so I was running a crippled phone already and then this recent 9.18.79 security and antenna update messed it up even worse!!! Had the phone worked flawlessly before 9.18.79 I would have done an FDR before calling in.
If the iPhone wasn't so tiny in my hand I probably would have bought one last night, I just don't know if I could adjust to phone that little. I love Androids, I love the customization options, I love the size of the HD, it's not to small. But right now I'm getting to the point that I just want something that works right.... is that to much to ask?

Will do,..and yes VZW told me there are quite a few people having the same problem.... I HOPE I'm wrong but I don't think it's a phone issue,.. I think it's a software problem that can't be fixed because it's junk software.
Btw,... I told them my Maxx HD has scratches on the screen, they said they don't care,... I'm getting a free replacement anyway. They said; "As long as the screen is not broken it doesn't matter". My OG Razr didn't have the slightest scratch on it when I gave it away. My HD screen scratched extremely easy.... oh well,... we will see how the new screen holds up,... cause I don't like screen protectors.
The ZAGG HD ones are nice, because they feel like a bare screen. Will do,..and yes VZW told me there are quite a few people having the same problem.... I HOPE I'm wrong but I don't think it's a phone issue,.. I think it's a software problem that can't be fixed because it's junk software.

I've used ZAGG for many many many phones,.. the invisibleSHIELD is great and they are warrantied for life which is cool because after a while they get the Orange peel effect,.. so I've always got the free replacement. But they do work.
I still like a bare screen the best!!!!
... and my HD just froze up again with a solid blue screen... just did a soft reset... I'm backing up files right now on the PC... then doing an FDR hoping the phone will be useable while waiting on the new replacement to arrive....
UPDATE,... I just spent about an hour on the phone with Verizon Tech support. The FDR did NOT work, the phone is still power cycling, lagging and having problems,.. they told me the Update broke my phone and apologized for the inconvenience.
My Replacement phone should arrive in the middle of next week, so I won't be able to do anything until the weekend because I'm busy.
Hummmm. Sorry Robert. Mine wasn't power cycling, but it was lagging and having problems. Hence the "I'm outta here Android" decision by me.
Update: I just received replacement Razr Maxx HD #3... Wow the thing is blazing fast.. Doesn't even feel like the same phone... no lag at all. Which makes me wonder what the deal was with my HD #2
Observation the new HD #3 is running System Version 9.20.1
The update that messed up HD #2 was System Version 9.18.79
Considering that VZW tech support acknowledged 9.18.79 broke my phone is everyone now on 9.20.1?
