This goofball loves to break things. He also does a really good job of testing items. The video is for an iPhone 4, but Incipio makes cases for the Razr as well. Here's their link to the Razr Maxx HD case, if you're interested. Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD feather Ultra Thin Snap-On Case
So, I've seen these cases and thought, eh... It's nice and thin, but really, how much protection does it give? After watching him drop an iPhone 4 with the case on, I'd say it provides excellent protection! The iPhone 4 was all glass front and back and the glass back never shattered. The screen only shattered when he dropped it on the screen. If you're looking for a case that will keep your Razr slim but provide excellent protection from drops, check it out:
I've used the 2-piece Incipio Silicrylic cases for both my old Droid X and my current Droid Razr Maxx. Their big selling point indeed is that it adds very little bulk to the phone so it easily slips in and out of pockets and the materials they use have a nice feel in hand, not slippery but not overly grippy either. Knock on wood, but I've never dropped my phone from 4 or 6 feet on concrete. A somewhat negative with the Droid Razr/Razr Maxx rendition of the case design though is that it leaves the entire top of the phone exposed, except for raised acrylic edges from the two sides and back of the case that extend slightly above the phone itself, as well as having a rather large cutout on the back for the camera lens, flash and speaker. Still it's my preferred case because of the thin and stylish form factor and the moderate amount of protection it provides. On the weekends, I sometimes switch to a Trident Aegis case if I'm golfing since it has more protection (thicker silicone padding) and covers for all of the ports so that they're more protected from the elements.
