Is anyone else unhappy with the latest Google Maps update?
I have been trying to make it work and the more I play with it the angrier I get. I used to be able to hit the layers icon and get all of the maps I set up in "My Maps". Now I can't seem to access any of those settings. It saves every address I've ever looked up (whether I want it to or not) and I can only delete them one at a time. I think the developer at Google who came up with this should be fired (now ask me how I really feel ).
If anyone has tips or can point to something I'm missing PLEASE let me know. One of the things I've always liked most about my Android was being able to use it for maps and navigation and now I'm thinking about charging up my Tom Tom.

Or you could get a GPS app with in-phone maps. I have CoPilot and I am quite happy with it. I paid a whopping $5 for it and includes free quarterly updates.
Not perfect or visually polished as Google Map, but works quite well.
Of course then you will get mad for the 2GB+ of maps taking space on your internal memory

I rarely use it, so I'm of no help.
I travel allot... And at first I hated the new Google maps but once I got the hang of it I absolutely love it. It just take getting used to. It's not perfect and I still don't know how to delete the history... but overall it's a big improvement for traveling.
What i like is that you can get multiple routes to the same destination. With a very accurate ETA based on distance, road, and traffic conditions.

I also like how easy street view works now. But I miss having the zoom buttons on screen.
If you can tell me how I can access my save maps (created on PC application) I will be happier.

I'm sure Google has piles of complaints about this.
So for now.... http://m.cnet.com/news/how-to-access.../57593473?ds=1
I showed them. Gave the app 1 star after the update. Now I'm sure I have their attention! NOT.

Thanks for the tip Robert. This update seems to fall into the category of 1 step up 2 steps back IMHO. Not being able to easily access my saved maps is a huge disappointment.I'm sure Google has piles of complaints about this.

Edit - Now I'm back to being angry. The tip only works for commercial links that have web addresses. Most of my maps are private residences. I hope they fix this soon!
