Dropped Razr Maxx in water and screen is now messed up...HELP!
A couple of days ago I somehow managed to drop my droid razr maxx into the bathtub. It was underwater for between 5 and 8 seconds, maximum. I dried it off, turned it on, everything seemed to be working just fine, and nothing was wet or anything. A day went by, I used my phone as normal, but then that night when I went turn it on the screen was all green and red pixels. I waited a little while and the green screen started to go down until my normal screen was half visible, then the top half turned pink, faded to green again, and it turned off. I tried turning it on a couple more times, each with the green screen going away at varying lengths and then turning off. Finally, after about an hour of this, I got the green screen to disappear completely and I was able to access my phone as normal. Then, later, I plugged it in for the night and turned it off. In the morning when I woke up and turned it on, the screen was green again and repeated the same thing as before. I have tried everything I can think of, from running Pixel scans to turning the power completely off and back on, but nothing is helping. My phone seems to be working just fine, until I turn it off. After that, it takes a good hour or two to get the green screen to go away after turning it on. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this before, and if anyone could help me before I call verizon. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Stick it in a bag of rice and leave it for a day or two. If that doesn't work, it's time for a new one. Welcome.

If you have the tools take the back off [carefully] and remove the battery. Then put it in a bowl of rice for a few days.

I would recommend using a safe pry took to remove the Kevlar backing but do it slowly and carefully if you decide to remove the battery
