Phone died and won't turn back on.

None of these options have worked for me. =/ My phone screen is only black. There is sometimes a green flashing text/call/app notification light at the top, despite that the phone remains blank. If i hold the power button, the green light goes away until a few seconds after i release it. I've tried charging it, no result. This first started happening about an hour after i had it charged to 100% and took it off the charger. It was working fine at first then.
Any ideas? screen problem, battery fried?
(it also never makes any noise, not sure if it's actually on or off)

Did the battery fall below 5% the last time you charged it?
Are you able to boot into recovery?
Is your phone stock (not rooted)?

Worth trying to connect it to your computer via USB (same cable you use to charge it with the wall adapter).

When Windows detects the phone it tries to initiate communication with it, that may shake it out of whatever state it is in.
