Hello. Spent a few hours recording videos yesterday for youtube, all the files can't be played even by the phone. When recording video everything looks fine, but playing back is impossible. 'Sorry, this video cannot be played'
I can record up to about 10secs of video in 720 or 1080 but beyond that the files are useless. I never had any problems before and I haven't changed the SD card. I've installed all 3rd party apps I think might do anything with the camera.
Has anyone else had these problems? Is it JB related? What can I do to fix it?
TIA
I haven't seen this problem. Are you running a custom ROM?
More information (what version are you on, was it ota, etc). Did you wipe everything after the update? This is a bug on the Mac running a 4.2.2 custom ROM
A couple things to try. First, move all your pictures and videos out of the sdcard/dcim/camera folder. Either with your PC or a file explorer on the phone, doesn't matter where, just not in the camera folder. While there, delete all the thumbnails from sdcard/dcim/.thumbnails.
Next, go into settings/ app and scroll over to the all tab. Find camera, click it, then click clear data. Do the same for gallery.
Reboot and give it a shot
