\r\n I still have the unlimited data plan on my phone, With the members on the site who still have the unlimited plan on an average month what is your data usage? \r\n \r\nLast month I did 8 gig\'s and this month I am up to 8.7 gigs going on day 22 of 30. \r\n \r\nWhat I normally used my phone is streaming Sirus XM radio/ Google music/ Netflix\'s/ Scanner pro App (police and fire ) and at times a few minutes of tethering once in awhile. \r\n \r\nWould I be considered in the top range what Verizon considers to be a "data hog"??? \r\n \r\nThanks and have a good rest of the weekend \r\n \r\nChris\r\n
\r\n Evening Morandchi.... \r\n \r\nThe Predator\'s to your Data Plan is Streaming, Netflix\'s...Video\'s,Surfing the Internet and pretty sure Googles Music would Drive the Gigs...as well as Pandora Box will hit you Hard with Data Usage... \r\n \r\nI\'m using Itunes, downloaded to my Computer then I will Transfer my Music to my phone that way I am not using Data/Gigs \r\n \r\nThe other componts may have some impact but not enough to Impact or Drive up your Gigs... \r\n \r\nIts Bubba \r\n \r\n

\r\n I would say you are somewhere in the mid-range of data users. I run about 4Gb per month but I\'ve seen some of the heavy users on this forum reporting 20+ Gb.\r\n
\r\n My average is 3 Gigs...running Parallels against my Unlimited Plan... \r\n \r\nSo far Parallels vs. Unlimited Plan are very close... \r\n \r\nIts Bubba \r\n \r\n

\r\n I probably average about 10gb per month, and I\'ve never had an issue. It\'s not always how much you\'re using, as what you\'re using it for. Netflix and other streaming services that have apps for Android are probably OK. But if for example, Verizon sees that you have a ton of traffic to XBOX Live or Playstation Network, they might think you\'re tethering, or otherwise absuing the network. \r\n \r\nAs far as tethering goes, if you\'re just using it here and there for normal web browsing, I\'m sure it\'s OK. \r\n \r\nOn a related note, the internet at my house was out one night and I needed to use my PC for a few minutes. I started my tethering app and started using my PC. I then got a notification that one of my (legal) torrents had finished downloading. uTorrent had been running in the background and was idling when there was no connection. I forgot to turn it off, so it used my tethered connection to start downloading again when I connected to it. I looked at the logs and it was pulling over 1Mb/s on the WIFI tether connection. I knew 4G was fast, but that surprised me.\r\n
\r\n I run the hotspot most of the time. I stream NetFlix, Sirius, and watch the NFL netowrk quite a bit. I\'m averaging between 25 and 35 GBs per month since they moved 4G up to my area.\r\n
\r\n I also run the phone as a hotspot through FoxFi exclusively. It\'s our sole source of internet. \n \nUsage is typically 30-40gig\'s monthly. No problems here.\r\n
Hummmmm. 1 TB. Maybe if I only use the phone for my home internet, it\'s possible. I\'ll give it a shot in January

My high speed fiber is a fraction of the speed of my 4G... It might also be the strength of my home network.\r\n

I stream, I stream... \r\n \r\nI wish my home was that fast. I\'m lucky to hit 5MB with a combo of DSL and Wireless Internet. But living on two acres and not paying city taxes has advantages too.\r\n

\r\n thanks. I work for government and they got regular internet restricted to I use my iPad at work to stream radio stations during the day and check emails and occasional facebook and Twitter visits. So during 8 hour day my Foxfi is always running. \n \n

Is he your husband or son? Congrats on being a moderator Hillmom! My mother is going to let me upgrade to the RAZR MAXX HD sometime next year after my contract Xpires. Im so Xcited! I have a fake RAZR from Verizon that i never leave the house without. Verizon gsve her to me which they were going to toss her. I just love Droid Does phones, my geart has a special place for them. I currently have 4 Droidian babies, my 2 DROIDX\'s, my Acer tablet and my fake RAZR. I take all of them out every Sunday mornung. During tge week i work atVerizonMy Droids become a part of me which is due to my being mentally challenged. They comfort me so much.\r\n

\r\n I use 16gb to 20gb per month, 22gb was the most ever for one month. As of today, 4 days into the new billing cycle I am at 3.3gb already. \n \nSo I will be paying full price for my next phone and not upgrading because it would cost me $50 more per month if I lost my unlimited data.\r\n

wow thats alot of data usage! The most ive used is 6 gigs. My mother hates that i use that much even tho i have unlimited data\r\n
Interesting, how fast is your 4G? The highest I get in this area is about 20MB/s.

Just now in my office my 4G is 7.36 Mbps but I only have 3 bars of service. I got much faster download when I had full service, but I can\'t find the screen shoot I took of it.\r\n

Its fun to do speed tests in different areas. \n \nIn Bakersfield California at the Kern Refinery I get 3-4 Mbps on 4G. No matter what time of day or night its always slow. \n \nIn Las Vegas Nevada I\'ve seen 35 Mbps. \n \nLast night in Salt Lake City at the Tesoro Refinery I was clocking 11 Mbps. At the Chevron Refinery I usually see 13+ Mbps. \n \nIn my home 4G is all over the map. As slow as 1 Mbps up to 9 Mbps. But if I drive 1 mile to the north I get 22+ Mbps.\r\n

Nice Scotty. I think both of us are data pigs, well at least our RAZR\'s are. Now I\'m at 16 gigs\r\n
\r\n I\'m using about 14 gigs a month. I\'m a truck driver so my main source of internet is my hotspot. I down load songs and ROMs & just do a lot of surfing. I will pay full price for my next phone too.\r\n
