Root issue after ICS update\r\n
\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n I got the ICS update late last Saturday and immediately downloaded it. I\'ve been enjoying the new interface, etc. but was hoping to improve the battery life by freezing some bloat and keep junk from running in the background.
\r\n
\r\nSo, I used the EternityProject EasyRoot for ICS found here. I plugged the phone in, followed the easy directions and everything seemed fine after the phone rebooted 3 times. Then I tried using Titanium Backup and it tells me that I\'m not rooted. There is also a new app "Super SU" in my app menu that states the following error when I try to open it:
\r\n
\r\n"There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
\r\n
\r\nI thought maybe it was Titanium Backup, but the SuperSU app backs up the fact that I\'m not rooted. I\'m not sure what to do from here. Any help is greatly appreciated!\r\n

\r\n If that doesn\'t work, were you rooted before updating to ICS? I was, and I had some apps frozen. I made the mistake of updating to ICS without defrosting those apps and flashing back to stock. After the update to ICS my phone had lost root privs and TiBu was telling me it didn\'t have root privs. So I tried Eternity and a few other easy roots, but with no luck. I was preparing to flash back to GB to try and few things and gave my Razr Maxx a wipe data cache and data/factory reset. When the device rebooted, I had ICS AND the root was working properly. Stroke of dumb luck I guess.
