Protect root with update?

Hey guys,

Pretty much what the title says. For you guys that got the update fix for jb did you guys temporarily un root and re apply after the update? or is not needed?

I did not unroot. I protected it with Voodoo and sideloaded the update. When I was booted back into JB I didn't have root, opened Voodoo and restored.

Some people have said they've temp unrooted but I don't think it's necessary.
